Commercial Ship Surveys in Valencia and Spanish Ports

Valencia Marine Services provides independent commercial ship surveys for shipowners, charterers, managers, insurers, P&I Clubs, and other maritime professionals who require an objective technical assessment of a merchant vessel.

Our surveys are structured around the purpose of the appointment, the type of vessel and the areas or systems that need to be examined.

Commercial vessel surveys may be requested during vessel operations, charter delivery, purchase negotiations, insurance reviews, damage investigations or technical management processes.

The survey establishes an independent record of the accessible areas inspected at the time of attendance. Findings are supported by technical observations and photographic documentation where appropriate.

Frequently asked questions

Is a commercial ship survey the same as a classification survey?

No. This service is an independent technical survey carried out for the appointing client. It does not replace a statutory or classification-society inspection.

Can the complete vessel be inspected during one attendance?

The accessible scope is confirmed before attendance. Restricted spaces, operating conditions and the vessel schedule are recorded as limitations when they prevent inspection.

What documents should be available?

Relevant documents may include vessel particulars, general arrangement plans, class information, certificates, maintenance records, previous surveys and damage reports.

How do I request attendance?

Provide the vessel name, IMO number, port, ETA or ETB, requested inspection and intended use of the report.
